Senior Business Development Manager

Who we are looking for: Sombra requires a Senior Business Development Manager with strong interpersonal and communication skills to help us expand our clientele.
The ideal candidate has experience in researching market trends, targeting relationships, and using proven methods to develop our business strategy.
The goal is to boost sales and building up strong relationships with clients.

Company: Sombra is an ambitious and fast-growing Ukrainian tech company that engaged in custom software development. Our target markets are the USA, Canada, and the UK. The company employs more than 150 motivated professionals. We offer our customers building dedicated teams of software engineers in Ukraine.

Team: You will be working close to the CEO, CTO, and Head of Delivery what influences the speed of decisions in business.

  • Desire to obtain the BizDev Director role in few months after delivering results;
  • Proven working experience (5+ years) as a business development manager, sales executive, or a relevant role;
  • Ability to identify client’s business needs and to see the client’s pain points;
  • Ability and desire to travel to our client’s locations.
  • Strong result orientation;
  • Knowledge of IT outsourcing service development;
  • Understanding of SDLC approach;
  • English level – Upper-Intermediate or higher; 
  • Communication and negotiation skills;
  • Ability to build rapport;
  • Time management and planning skills;
  • Empathy.
  • Understanding business contexts of our incoming leads, identifying stakeholders involved into buying decision making and their needs;
  • Proposing and implementing realistic ideas on how to close a contract based on needs of our leads;
  • Leading the presale process and proposal preparation based on client needs/company capabilities;
  • Assembling the Pre-sales team to work on Engagements;
  • Managing both our existing sales methods and developing new business opportunities;
  • “Hunting” skills would be a plus (in case there are not enough leads to work on).
