Middle DevOps Engineer

Fintech project, the purpose of which is to create and maintain banking platforms. Users are bank employees, which is about 10,000. Various platforms are used to serve clients of the bank who would like to invest their money in one of Canada’s largest banks and also internal employees of the bank. DevOps team supports all available applications inside banks’ departments.

Requirements

  • Experience in a shell and Python scripts.
  • Experience with cloud infrastructures (OCP, PCF, AWS, Azure).
  • Strong experience with Kubernetes.
  • Understanding of automation tools like Terraform, Chef, Puppet, Ansible, etc.
  • Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins — Pipeline, Groovy, etc.).
  • DevOps experience in troubleshooting deployments to various environments.
  • Understanding of concepts like RDBMS, REST, GraphQL, Microservices, Design Patterns.
  • Development experience in any programming language.
  • Willingness to learn new technologies and approaches (e.g. implementing and improving DevOps practices).
  • Proactive Attitude: Demonstrated ability to take initiative and anticipate needs without needing direction.
  • Open-Mindedness: Willingness to consider diverse perspectives and adapt to new ideas and approaches.
  • Big-Picture Thinking: Capacity to maintain a broad perspective while understanding how individual tasks contribute to overall goals.
  • English level from Upper-intermediate.

    Nice to Have:
    — Knowledge of Dynatrace would be a plus.
    — Knowledge of PowerShell will be a plus.
    — Knowledge of IBM Urban Code Deploy.
    — Knowledge of OpenShift & Pivotal Cloud Foundry.

  • Understand application architecture.
  • Automate all the configuration & deployment steps.
  • Manage and maintain builds & pipelines.
  • Support teams in case of any deployment issues in any environments.
  • Help Deploy production release activities.
  • Manage & Maintain best practices in the teams.
  • Capture DevOps metrics & reflect.
