Remindee | SAAS for sending reminders to website past visitors

Remindee is a SAAS platform that helps businesses to turn abandoned visitors into customers. Remindee is designed for business owners that want to engage with users that are interested in service but currently leaving the website.

Business owners integrate Remindee into their corporate website and set pop-ups that work when the customer is going to leave the site. Popup suggests the user create an email reminder for the next visit.

Our goal

We pursued the goal of creating a customized and responsive application that will help users get more clients and generate higher revenue.

Technical Challenges and Solutions

1.Paid subscription

The platform works on the subscription model. There are nine subscription plans, that differ by time of subscription and customization of the widget. Widgets should update automatically according to the subscription plan. For example, when the subscription plan ends, widgets no longer appear on the website. Also, widgets’ design depends on the subscription plan, some plans provide bigger design options.

We have to incorporate all those conditions into the software. To do so, we used a service called Chargebee that maintained all the integrations and subscription plans. Also, we used WebHooks and WebSockets to keep the information updated on our side. They provided requests from Chargebee to the Back end every time payment information changed (payment provided, payment stopped etc. )

2.Widget customization

The client wanted to pay special attention to the widget look. It was important that users can create widgets of their choice. We developed an editor allowing to customize widgets, users could build widgets that reflect their corporate style and fit into the website design.

Our front-end team warked over a month to develop an editor that incorporates all the necessary features: change the position of the CTA, colors, fonts, animation, content location, screen extension.) It was crucial to creating widgets that look good on every screen, devices and configurations and do not impact website performance.

Top three features are:

  1. Integration with payment systems. The system charges payments and continues the subscription.
  2. Real-time analytics and easy-to-read charts. Users can see how their widgets work: Statistics of website visitors, open rate etc.
  3. Customized widgets. Every user can build a custom widget that will fit the website best.
