Junior AQA Engineer

Fintech project, the purpose of which is to create and maintain banking platforms. Users are bank employees, which is about 10,000. The platform is used to serve clients of the bank who would like to invest their money in one of Canada’s largest banks.

 

Requirements
  • Automation testing experience using the programming languages JavaScript/TypeScript, and Java;
  • experience in backend API automation using Rest Assured;
  • manual testing experience;
  • Experience with Postman;
  • Experience in writing CSS/XPath locators;
  • Experience with TestNG;
  • HTML, CSS basics;
  • Experience in using browser DevTools;
  • Strong understanding and experience in using automation patterns (PageObject, PageFactory, PageElement);
  • Experience in creating automation framework;
  • Experience in code reviewing;
  • Experience in reviewing manual/automation test plans & providing optimal test coverage;
  • Deep technical understanding of design patterns & best practices in programming;
  • Good understanding of web & service-oriented architectures.
Responsibilities
  • Testing for the product agile team (both manual and automation, 50/50);
  • Design and develop test plans for the application;
  • Review test cases developed by the team members to provide efficient & optimal test coverage;
  • Design and develop test automation frameworks & tools;
  • Contributing to the Scrum team creation automation scripts and manually testing the functionality;
  • Engage test automation in Continuous Integration for a continuous quality delivery;
  • Involve in code review to ensure high-quality test automation is developed & maintained;
  • Provide QA sign-off for the application to be released.
