QA/AQA Lead

Sombra is an ambitious and fast-growing Ukrainian tech company that engaged in custom software development. Our target markets are the USA, Canada, and the UK. The company employs more than 200+ motivated professionals. We offer our customers building dedicated teams of software engineers in Ukraine.

Lead QA/AQA engineer will be involved in various projects for kickoff/development/consulting and will lead QA Stream in the company. 

Requirements:
  • 5+ years of experience in software testing
  • Experience in Reviewing manual/automation tests & providing optimal test coverage
  • Experience and understanding of Test Management process
  • Automation testing experience using Java, JavaScript or the other programming languages
  • Experience with end-to-end testing frameworks like Selenium + BDD, Cucumber, Mocha, Cypress, Protractor, Jasmine etc
  • Mobile frontend testing experience is a plus
  • Experience with API (rest/soap) testing frameworks like Rest Assured, Mocha / Chai / Chai HTTP
  • Non-functional requirements testing – performance, usability, accessibility, security basics and other
  • Upper Intermediate English level
  • Strong interpersonal, communication skills
Responsibilities:
  • Long-term involvement on the project with the role of QA / AQA lead
  • Short-term involvement on the projects with the role of QA / AQA lead to setup or review QA/AQA processes on demand
  • Working with all aspects of full-cycle of QA/AQA
  • Development of QA/AQA competency in the company:
    • Interviewing QA/AQA engineers
    • Improving QA/AQA interview processes
    • Managing promotions of QA/AQA engineers in the company
    • Improving QA/AQA promotions process
    • Mentoring and support of QA/AQA engineers
    • Leading and participating in QA/AQA community events in the company
  • Involvement into Presales/Discovery phases for new projects, representing QA / AQA expertise of the company
  • Effective cooperation with CTO and other Competence Managers (Backend, Frontend, UX/UI)
