Strong Junior/Middle AQA Engineer (Java)

Fintech project , the purpose of which is to create and maintain banking platforms. Users are bank employees, which are about 10,000. The platform is used to serve clients of the bank who would like to invest their money in one of Canada’s largest banks.

Most of your day is spent working with a cross-functional team of developers, business analysts, project managers and quality analysts to design and develop, test automation frameworks and reusable tools to help deliver a quality product. You will be closely working with QA leads to test applications, discuss and understands the requirements clearly to be able to deliver required artifacts on timely manner.

The team consists of 22 engineers (front end and back end engineers) and 3 Test engineers (manual and automation).

Requirements:
  • At least 1.5 years of automating experience using Java and 2.5+ years of overall testing experience
  • Experience in API testing, at least 1 year
  • Knowledge of JIRA
  • Knowledge of Testing tool / JUnit / Mockito
  • As a bonus: RestAssured / SwaggerHub / Hoverfly / TestNG
  • Deep technical understanding of design patterns & best practices in programming
  • Good understanding of web & service-oriented architectures
  • At least Intermediate English level (will be a daily communication)
  • Strong interpersonal, communication skills
Responsibilities:
  • You will be involved in API testing
  • Meet with business and technology leads to understand objectives and map out testing and automation requirements
  • Manage the design, development of testing specifications, and execution
  • Support all test activities, enhance, develop and execute manual and automated test scripts, record and track software discrepancies and issues
  • Facilitate resolution and communication across functional groups on issues and decisions
  • Design, document, and implement test automation so there is broad functional test coverage
