Junior AQA (Java, API testing) Engineer

We are searching for a diligent AQA Engineer (Java, API testing) with 2+ years of professional background who will join our team.

Project:

Fintech project, the purpose of which is to create and maintain banking platforms. Users are bank employees, which are about 10,000. The platform is used to serve clients of the bank who would like to invest their money in one of Canada’s largest banks.

Team:

This is a project with an experienced team that uses last java technologies to develop valued features for the bank team. The team consists of 12 Back-end, 2 Front-end, 3 AQA.

Requirements:
  • Experience in Java
  • Experience in API testing, at least 1 year
  • Knowledge of JIRA
  • Knowledge of Testing tool / JUnit / Mockito
  • As a bonus: RestAssured / SwaggerHub / Hoverfly / TestNG
  • Familiar with and can articulate different test methods & approaches as they pertain to service layer application testing
  • Understanding of the role and timing of regression testing on Agile teams
  • Strong communication skills
Responsibilities:
  • You will be integrated into the day-to-day life and responsibilities of being an Agile Scrum team member
  • Grooming backlog User Stories for both proper Requirements and Acceptance Criteria
  • Generating test plans for new and updated features from targeted User Stories
  • Testing and automating the scoped/groomed test cases or repairing broken ones
  • Collaborating with dev counterparts to decipher issues/failures/defects while logging appropriately
  • Performing/scoping performance and load testing needs on service applications
  • Updating JIRA, and their team/stakeholders appropriately on all issues/blockers/questions/etc.
  • You will need to be proficient in translating user story requirements and acceptance criteria into tests using Java
