Canadian Bank wishes to modernise the design and architecture of several public websites to make them compliant with government-mandated accessibility standards and reduce dependency on vendors. The key to this goal is to make one central service that is extensible and scalable while meeting regulatory needs.
Must-have:
- 4+ years of experience within UI/UX Design area.
- Strong understanding of WCAG 2.0/2.1/2.2 guidelines.
- Strong knowledge of https://www.w3.org/
- Proficiency in Figma and supporting plugins.
- Proficiency in building & maintaining Design Systems
- Experience with Deque axe DevTools, Stark, WAWE or similar accessibility testing tools.
- Familiarity with Angular-based UI frameworks from a design perspective.
- English level B2 or higher (conversational and professional communication required).
- Experience with Atlassian apps (Jira, Confluence).
Nice-to-have:
- Experience conducting Accessibility Audits for commercial projects/products.
- Develop a Design system.
- Design accessible interfaces that comply with WCAG standards.
- Collaborate with developers to implement and validate an accessible UI component.
- Participate in functional discussions with the team and stakeholders.
- Educate the client team on how to work with the new design system.
- Document all findings and new items.
