Junior Legal Specialist

We are hiring a Junior Legal Specialist to strengthen our in-house legal function and support the contracting, compliance, and corporate workflows that enable scalable delivery. The role is hands-on and cross-functional: you will work closely with Legal, Finance, Sales, and Delivery stakeholders to keep contracting cycles efficient, risks managed, and internal processes consistently executed.

Requirements: 

  • Law degree (completed or in the final stage) and strong interest in commercial/IT law, outsourcing, and software business models.
  • 0–2 years of relevant experience (internship/trainee/junior legal role is acceptable); prior exposure to contracts/contract management is a strong advantage.
  • English: Advanced (you will review and draft documents and communicate in English on a daily basis).
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work with templates, redlines, version control, and deadlines without losing quality.
  • Solid legal writing skills: ability to produce clear, structured drafts, short memos, and business-ready explanations of legal positions.
  • Basic understanding (or strong learning readiness) in: contract law, confidentiality/NDA practice, IP basics (work product, assignments), data protection basics (GDPR concepts), and general corporate housekeeping.
  • Mature stakeholder management: ability to ask clarifying questions early, align expectations, and keep workstreams moving.
  • High ownership mindset: proactive, reliable, and comfortable operating in a fast-paced services environment

Responsibilities: 

  • Support the Legal team in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating standard commercial documents (NDAs, MSAs, SOWs, DPA addenda, amendments, vendor forms) under supervision.
  • Prepare first-pass redlines and risk summaries, and propose practical fallback positions aligned with internal playbooks.
  • Maintain and improve legal templates, clause library, and internal checklists; ensure correct numbering, cross-references, and consistent wording.
  • Own contract operations tasks: document collection, signature routing, maintaining contract repositories, tracking statuses, and follow-ups with stakeholders.
  • Support compliance and corporate workflows (basic research, internal policy support, onboarding legal packs, evidence collection, coordinating with external counsel when needed).
  • Perform legal research on US/EU/UK topics relevant to software services and prepare concise internal memos.
  • Collaborate with Finance and Sales on contracting turnarounds, ensuring terms are commercially workable and risk-aware.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of legal processes (standardization, cycle-time reduction, quality controls, stakeholder enablement).
