We are looking for an experienced AI-First Engineer to support a client engagement, focused on hands-on delivery using AI-driven and agentic software development practices.
This role is part-time and contract-based (up to 80 hours per month). The engineer will be responsible for building and delivering product features end-to-end using AI-first SDLC approaches, leveraging modern agentic workflows, LLM tooling, and advanced AI-native development environments.
You will work closely with engineering teams and stakeholders to deliver high-quality software rapidly, while applying best-in-class AI methodologies, frameworks, and tools.
Additionally, you may contribute to internal initiatives as an AI champion, helping evolve engineering practices across the organization.
Requirements:
- 7+ years of professional software development experience delivering commercial software products.
- Proven experience delivering production-ready systems end-to-end (backend and/or frontend).
- Strong hands-on experience with AI-first / agentic development workflows in real projects.
- Advanced usage of Claude Code, Cursor, or similar AI-native development environments using instruments like global instructions, skills, subagents, mcp, cli etc.
- Strong knowledge of methodologies like Spec Driven Development, BMAD method
- Proven experience with SDD Frameworks like Speckit, Openspec etc.
- Strong understanding of LLMs, their capabilities, and limitations in engineering contexts.
- Ability to work independently and deliver high-quality output with minimal supervision.
- Good communication skills and ability to collaborate with engineers and stakeholders.
- Experience building AI/LLM-based solutions is a plus.
- Relevant certifications are a plus.
Responsibilities:
- Design and build production-grade features and systems end-to-end (backend, frontend, integrations) using AI-first development workflows.
- Apply agentic development approaches to automate and accelerate coding, testing, debugging, and documentation.
Implement spec-driven development workflows, translating product requirements into structured specifications and executable tasks. - Leverage multi-agent workflows and coding agents to maximize delivery speed and efficiency.
- Actively use advanced AI development environments (e.g., Claude Code, Cursor) with global instructions, skills, subagents, MCP, CLI, and related tooling.
- Establish and maintain high-quality codebases, architecture, and engineering standards in an AI-augmented environment.
- Contribute to infrastructure, CI/CD, and automation setup where needed using AI-assisted approaches.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure alignment between product requirements and technical implementation.
- Continuously optimize personal and team-level productivity through effective use of AI tools and workflows.
- Support internal initiatives as an AI champion, sharing best practices and contributing to evolving AI SDLC standards.
