Fintech project, the purpose of which is to create and maintain banking platforms. Users are bank employees, which is about 10,000. Various platforms are used to serve clients of the bank who would like to invest their money in one of Canada’s largest banks and also internal employees of the bank.
Requirements:
Must-Have:
- 6 months – 1 year of commercial experience in Manual QA.
- Solid understanding of QA principles, methodologies, and best practices.
- Experience with manual testing of web applications (80% of responsibilities).
- Strong knowledge of SDLC and STLC.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum workflows.
- High attention to detail and structured thinking.
- Analytical and problem-solving mindset.
- Ability to work both independently and in a collaborative team environment.
- Strong communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.
- Intermediate high English (spoken and written).
- Willingness to grow and contribute to test automation (up to 20% – frontend and backend) with basic experience in JavaScript/TypeScript and familiarity with backend systems (Java, Node.js a plus).
Nice to Have:
- Hands-on experience testing backend systems (Java or Node.js).
- Previous exposure to automation frameworks or CI/CD integration.
Responsibilities:
- Perform functional, smoke, and regression testing of web applications.
- Analyze requirements to ensure proper test coverage.
- Create and maintain test documentation (test cases, checklists).
- Identify, report, and verify defects.
- Collaborate with developers, QA team, and stakeholders.
- Participate in sprint activities and product discussions.
- Prepare brief test reports for demos and reviews.
- Take ownership of tasks and deliver on time.
