Junior QA Engineer

We are working with a global financial product company that is modernizing its public-facing web platforms. The goal of the project is to build a centralized, scalable and future-ready front-end architecture, ensure full compliance with WCAG 2.2 accessibility standards and reduce dependency on external vendors. In this role, QA plays a key part not just in testing, but in shaping the overall quality of the platform — from accessibility and automated regression testing to performance validation and defining quality gates and automation frameworks. Your work will directly influence the stability, accessibility and user experience of products used by thousands of users.

Must-Have:

  • 1+ years of commercial experience in Manual QA
  • Solid understanding of QA principles, methodologies, and best practices
  • Experience with manual testing of web applications (approx. 80% of responsibilities)
  • Basic understanding of JavaScript/TypeScript (or another programming language, with readiness to switch to TypeScript if needed)
  • Strong knowledge of SDLC and STLC
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum workflows
  • High attention to detail and structured thinking
  • Analytical and problem-solving mindset
  • Ability to work both independently and in a collaborative team environment
  • Strong communication skills for cross-functional collaboration
  • Intermediate high – Upper-Intermediate level of English (spoken and written)

Nice to Have:

  • Familiarity with WCAG 2.2 guidelines
  • Experience with accessibility evaluation tools (axe, WAVE, Lighthouse, etc.)
  • Previous exposure to automation frameworks or CI/CD integration (as a plus, not required)

Responsibilities: 

  • Analyze and process project requirements to ensure comprehensive test coverage
  • Create and maintain test documentation (test cases, checklists, reports)
  • Estimate testing effort and time required for tasks and projects
  • Conduct manual functional testing to ensure quality and reliability of web applications
  • Perform smoke, regression, and accessibility testing to validate stability and compliance
  • Collaborate with developers, designers, and other team members to identify and resolve issues
  • Communicate effectively with QA team members and project stakeholders
  • Prepare and present Test Summary Reports for demos and project reviews
  • Continuously learn and contribute to the team’s shared knowledge and QA best practices
