Our client in the banking sector is undertaking a strategic initiative to modernize several public-facing websites. The goal is to ensure full compliance with government-mandated accessibility standards (WCAG 2.2), reduce vendor dependency, and build a centralized, scalable, and extensible front-end architecture.
You will lead a front-end team + BE in delivering high-quality, accessible web solutions, collaborating closely with cross-functional stakeholders.
Required Qualifications:
- Proven experience leading front-end teams in enterprise-level projects.
- Strong expertise in Angular (v14+), TypeScript, RxJS, NgRx.
- Deep understanding of WCAG 2.2 (or 2.1) and W3C standards.
- Proficiency in HTML5, SCSS/CSS, Bootstrap 4.
- Solid grasp of OOP, REST APIs, and HTTP protocols.
- Experience with Git and modern development workflows.
- English level B2 or higher (strong communication and leadership in English required).
Nice-to-Have:
- Hands-on experience with accessibility evaluation tools (Axe, Wave, Lighthouse).
- Familiarity with unit testing frameworks (e.g., Jest).
- Experience with data visualization libraries (e.g., Highcharts).
- Understanding of reactive programming principles.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and mentor a team of front-end engineers, fostering a culture of accessibility, quality, and performance.
- Own the front-end architecture and ensure it aligns with accessibility and scalability goals.
- Drive implementation of WCAG 2.2 AA/AAA standards across all components.
- Collaborate with designers, BAs, and stakeholders to translate requirements into accessible, performant UI solutions.
- Conduct code reviews, enforce best practices, and guide the team in Angular development.
- Coordinate with DevOps and QA to ensure smooth CI/CD and testing processes.
- Evaluate and integrate accessibility testing tools (e.g., Axe, Lighthouse) into the development workflow.
- Document architectural decisions and accessibility features for internal and external stakeholders.
- Actively participate in sprint planning, backlog grooming, and functional discussions.
