Middle Automation QA Engineer

Our client develops a fintech platform for Private Equity sponsors. It helps them confidently navigate the complexities of portfolio management, driving maximum returns and success. The platform enables flawless planning, execution, and evaluation of value-creation strategies. Its real-time progress tracking and insightful reporting empower stakeholders to drive operational alpha and elevate performance.

Requirements:

  • Experienced JavaScript/Typescript testing engineer (from 2,5-3 years of experience).
  • Experience testing client-side/single-page web apps.
  • Comfortable with CI/CD pipelines/version control.
  • Experience with automation testing frameworks such as Selenium, Playwright, or Cypress.
  • Solid understanding of software testing principles, methodologies, and practices.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to articulate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • English level from Upper-intermediate.

Nice to have:

  • knowledge of/willingness to learn Ruby/Rails;
  • experience with Playwright (will accept other testing frameworks, but our e2e tests are written with Playwright).

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain automated test scripts and test frameworks using industry-standard tools and technologies.
  • Collaborate with engineering to understand product requirements and translate them into comprehensive test plans and test cases.
  • Execute automated test suites to validate software functionality, performance, and scalability.
  • Identify, prioritize, and track software defects using issue-tracking systems, and work closely with engineering to ensure timely resolution.
  • Continuously improve our automation testing processes and methodologies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Participate in Agile/Scrum such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
  • Conduct root cause analysis of testing failures and provide recommendations for improvement.
  • Stay updated on emerging trends and best practices in automation testing and quality assurance.
