Middle Site Reliability Engineer

Our client is a leading provider of cloud-based dental analytics and performance-tracking solutions. The platform helps dental practices improve patient care, increase efficiency, and drive growth by offering data-driven insights and tools. By integrating with existing dental software, Dental Intel provides real-time analytics on patient management, scheduling, case acceptance, and financial performance, helping dental professionals make informed decisions and optimize their practice’s overall performance.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in IS/IT/Computer Science or a related field and 3+ years of experience.
  • AWS Certified SysOps Administrator, Azure Certification, or equivalent real-world experience.
  • Experience designing and building web environments on AWS and Azure, which includes working with services like EC2, ELB, RDS, ECS, and S3, as well as Azure VMs, Storage, SQL, AppServices, etc.
  • Experience building and maintaining cloud-native applications.
  • A solid background in Linux/Unix and Windows server system administration.
  • Experience using Development tools in a cloud environment, such as GitHub, Azure DevOps, Kubernetes, Gitlab, etc.
  • Experience installing and configuring different application servers such as JBoss, Tomcat, and IIS .NET
  • Experience using monitoring solutions like CloudWatch, New Relic, and Prometheus.
  • An understanding of writing Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC), using tools like CloudFormation or Terraform.
  • Knowledge of one or more of the most-used programming languages available for today’s cloud computing (i.e. SQL data, Python, PHP, Java, etc).
  • Experience with other major cloud computing platforms, such as Google Cloud and Microsoft Azure.
  • Experience in troubleshooting distributed systems
  • Proficiency in script development and scripting languages. 
  • The ability to be a team player.
  • The ability and skill to train other people in procedural and technical topics.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Proficiency in English (Upper-intermediate level at least). 

 

 

Responsibilities:

  • Planning, maintaining and monitoring and of systems infrastructure.
  • Build, release, monitor and manage the configuration of all production systems.
  • Manage a continuous integration and deployment methodology for server-based technologies.
  • Work alongside software architecture and engineering teams to design and implement any scalable software services.
  • Ensure necessary system security by using best-in-class cloud security solutions.
  • Stay current with new technology options and vendor products, evaluating which ones would be a good fit for the company.
  • Implement continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines when necessary.
  • Recommend process and architecture improvements.
  • Troubleshoot the system and solve problems across all platform and application domains.
