Senior Software Engineer (PHP)

Our client is an award-winning digital marketing, sales conversion, and technology company that delivers intuitive, engaging experiences throughout the customer journey, connecting consumers with brands in sectors like home services, insurance, and telecom.

The Client is looking for a collaborative working model to give full responsibility for:
– Takeover of 4 existing systems.
– Maintenance/Standby of systems.
– Development of future features.

Short-term involvement – 3-4 weeks.

Requirements:

  •  5+ years of experience in full-stack software development.
  • Proven expertise in PHP and Laravel with deep knowledge of backend development best practices.
  •  Strong frontend experience with Vite and Blaze Templates.
  •  Proficiency in database design, MySQL, and SQLite query optimization.
  •  Experience working with Redis for caching and SQS for queue management.
  •  Familiarity with email service integration (Mailgun) and API-based billing systems (Zoho).
  • Experience leading teams, conducting code reviews, and mentoring engineers.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a passion for building scalable, high-quality applications.
  • Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design, development, and optimization of scalable web applications.
  • Architect and implement robust backend solutions using PHP and Laravel.
  •  Oversee frontend development using Vite and Blaze Templates, ensuring high performance and maintainability.
  • Build and optimize database structures and queries for MySQL.
  •  Implement and extend caching with Redis to improve application performance.
  •  Manage message queues in SQS.
  • Oversee third-party API integrations.
  • Drive code reviews, mentorship, and best practices within the development team.
  • Collaborate with product managers, designers, and stakeholders to define technical requirements.
  • Ensure security, performance, and scalability across all systems.
