Middle Software Engineer (Python, React, Trading Platform)

The Mid Backend Engineer will support backend development for trading simulation services with a primary emphasis on Python/Django. The role includes completing light frontend tasks in React/Next.js as needed and collaborating closely with senior engineers and frontend teams. Domain: FinTech / Proprietary Trading (US market). Product: A cutting-edge platform connecting traders with funding opportunities. Tech Vibe: High-load, low-latency, and data-intensive environment processing millions of events in real time.

Requirements:

  •  2–4 years of backend experience.
  • Hands‑on experience with Python and Django frameworks.
  • Exposure to Go services or willingness to learn and contribute.
  • Experience working with PostgreSQL or similar relational databases.
  • Ability to read and integrate with frontend API contracts.
  • Basic ability to implement simple UI updates using React and Next.js.
  • Understanding of trading terminology or willingness to learn.
  • Familiarity with automated testing practices.
  • Familiarity with payment systems and integrations (e.g., Worldpay or similar).
  • Strong problem‑solving and communication skills.

Nice to have:

  • Exposure to Kubernetes or containerized deployments.

  • Implement backend services and APIs using Python/Django.
  • Support frontend teams through clear API integration and documentation.
  • Deliver small frontend tasks such as UI adjustments or data rendering.
  • Develop and maintain automated tests for assigned backend components.
  • Participate in sprint ceremonies, code reviews, and design discussions.
  • Troubleshoot bugs and performance issues across backend systems.
  • Assist with deployment validation in development environments.
  • Collaborate with product and engineering teams to refine feature requirements.
