Our client in the banking sector is launching a strategic initiative to modernize several public-facing websites. The goal is to ensure full compliance with government-mandated accessibility standards (WCAG 2.2), reduce vendor dependency and build a centralized, scalable and extensible front-end architecture.
You’ll have the opportunity to help shape this transformation from the inside — working on modernizing core systems and contributing to a front-end ecosystem that will be used across multiple projects and products.
Requirements:
- 1.5 + years of commercial experience as a Frontend Engineer
- Angular 14+
- TypeScript and JavaScript
- HTML5, CSS, SCSS
- RxJS
- NgRx (state management)
- Bootstrap 4
- Git (version control)
- Understanding of OOP principles
- Understanding of REST API and HTTP
- Familiarity with any CMS system
- Familiarity with low-code / no-code back-end solutions (e.g., Xano, Supabase, Airtable, Zapier, Make) or a foundational understanding of back-end architecture and concepts.
- English – Upper-Intermediate
Would be a plus:
- Experience with web accessibility evaluation tools – axe, wave, lighthouse, etc.
- Basic understanding of data modelling and API integrations
Responsibilities:
- Write clean, maintainable code following best practices
- Implement accessibility features in all components to meet WCAG 2.2 AA (or AAA) standards
- Document the accessibility features of each component
- Create new components based on design and business requirements
- Develop new user-facing features
- Debug and fix issues in existing functionality
- Participate in functional discussions with the team and stakeholders
- Collaborate closely with designers, developers, and stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions
