Sombra Passes ISO 27001 Certification

May 2022 – Lviv, Ukraine – Sombra’s information security management system has successfully passed the audit to receive an ISO 27001 certification. 

Since 2020, a 31% increase in the average number of cyber attacks per company has been recorded worldwide. Today, Russia’s unprovoked and unjustified military aggression against Ukraine poses an even more severe threat to the cybersecurity of commercial businesses.

Why does ISO 27001 certification matter?

ISO 27001 is an international standard on how to manage information security. It specifies the requirements for establishing, implementing, maintaining, and improving an information security management system. 

This certification is built on a three-stage audit process. An informal review of the information security management system, independent audit testing against the ISO 27001 requirements, and ongoing follow-up reviews to remain in compliance with the standard.
