Quality Ops Lead

Our client is an Austin-based company that offers dynamic and time-based pricing solutions to live entertainment organizations, enabling them to gather information and adjust ticket prices relative to demand.
The company’s solutions are designed to manage more inventory and price more accurately with fewer resources,
maximizing the potential of all your tickets.

This is a pivotal role for moving Quality forward at a huge enterprise. It required working with engineering teams across the verticals and coming up with ideas and suggestions for ways we can improve testing.

The working hours are until around 9:00 PM (Kyiv time).

Requirements:

  • • 6+ years in Software QA or Engineering, with expertise in automation strategy and quality architecture.
  • Strong hands-on experience with:
  • UI Automation: Playwright (JavaScript/TypeScript)
  • API Testing: Postman, Karate
  • Performance Testing: JMeter, CI-integrated performance baselining
  • Deep understanding of GitHub Actions, CI/CD workflows, and testing stages.
  • Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript.
  • Familiarity with testing and deploying applications in AWS environments.
  • Systems thinker with a knack for simplification.
  • Self-starter able to work autonomously with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong documentation and effective communication skills (both written and verbal).
  • Ability to operate effectively both asynchronously and synchronously.
  • English- Upper-Intermediate.

    Preferred:

  • Familiarity with unit testing frameworks like Jest with React Testing Library, especially for Next.js applications.

Responsibilities:

  • Inventory and analyze current test automation implementations across teams to identify duplication, inconsistencies, and improvement opportunities.
  • Define and roll out a standardized automation process, creating a templated test project (Playwright + API tools) that teams can adopt and extend.
  • Set direction for unit testing standards, including recommended tools and structure; collaborate with teams to bootstrap implementation. Recommend Jest with React Testing Library as the standard unit testing framework for Next.js projects.
  • Integrate performance testing into CI/CD pipelines using JMeter, establishing benchmarks and ensuring continuous feedback loops.
  • Align CI/CD testing strategies across teams, incorporating automation, performance, and smoke testing in GitHub workflows.
  • Document best practices and build internal guides for test automation, unit testing, and performance testing integration.
  • Host enablement sessions and collaborate with team-level Quality Champions to scale adoption.

We offer:
