Strong Junior/Middle Software Engineer (Angular)

This is a fintech project for one of the largest and most trusted banks in Canada. The team is building and supporting modern banking platforms that are actively used both by internal employees (over 10,000 users) and clients who invest and manage their finances through the bank.
You will have the opportunity to work on platforms that directly influence real financial decisions, high-load internal systems, and digital products used across the entire organization. It’s a stable domain, a long-term project with modern technologies and real impact — not just on code, but on how one of Canada’s leading banks operates.
Requirements:
- 1.5 + years of commercial experience as a Frontend Engineer
 - Angular 14+
 - TypeScript and JavaScript
 - HTML5, CSS, SCSS
 - Bootstrap 4
 - Git (version control)
 - Understanding of OOP principles
 - English — Intermedaite high — Upper-Intermediate
 
Would be a plus:
- Experience with web accessibility evaluation tools — axe, wave, lighthouse, etc.
 - Unit testing (Jest or similar)
 - Highcharts or other charting libraries
 - Familiarity with reactive programming practices
 
Responsibilities:
- Improving the UI Library (this means dealing with accessibility and having a deeper understanding around building components that are UI building blocks (think libraries like material.angular.dev). While it is still Angular the focus isn’t on building/working with large applications but moreso the building blocks of them
 - Write code following the best practices
 - Fix bugs
 - Practice in functional discussions (with the team and the business)
 - Develop new user-facing features
 - Collaborate with team members and stakeholders to design and implement new and existing features
 - Contribute to knowledge-sharing across team and company
